The University of Sunderland new Research publication, Open Access and Copyright policy will be effective from January 1 2026.
This policy embraces the principles of open access to diverse research output by encouraging them to be added to our institutional repository SURE. It also provides support for compliance to REF and funder requirements, and supports authors in retaining rights to published peer-reviewed article and conference papers (with an ISSN). With this policy, the university puts in place a rights retention strategy, which aims for authors to retain more control over their research and contribute to the impact, transparency and reproducibility fo the research process.
Come to learn more about it and understand how you can publish with power using this policy.
This session supports researcher development with descriptors 3.4 and 4.3 of the Vitae Researcher Development Framework.
