The academic publishing landscape is changing. Academics, librarians, policy makers and publishers are trying to make research accessible to all. As you prepare your next research project, apply for your next grant, think about the reach of your research in society, it is important to think about where and how you will publish. Open Access is increasingly becoming a requirement. Both the UK and the EU have stated the need for Open Access publishing to become the default of academic publishing. This session will explore the different ways in which you can publish open access and how to develop a publication strategy that takes Open Access into account.
This session supports researcher development with descriptors 1.1, 1.6, 3.4, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 of the Vitae Researcher Development Framework.
