EBS104 Introduction to Business Meetings and Discussions (On Campus)

EBS104 Introduction to Business Meetings and Discussions (On Campus) In-Person

The course is intended for less confident international business students with an intermediate to upper-intermediate level of English who need to improve their speaking and discussion skills.

The course is designed to develop the speaking skills in order to participate effectively in academic seminars and business meetings.

The structure of the course helps the students to build up their knowledge of vocabulary and business phrases. Students also have the opportunity to practice pronunciation in our Sanako language lab to help them to develop their speaking and confidence.  Then they can practice interacting with others in pairs, groups and whole class activities, agreeing, disagreeing, discussing, interrupting politely, seeking clarification, asking questions and chairing a meeting. They gain confidence in presenting information and arguments clearly and coherently and in answering questions.

The objectives of the course are to: improve students' academic and business English; improve speaking, pronunciation; build confidence & fluency in English language; build appropriate professional vocabulary, and improve grammar.
